Amityville: Haunted House icon: the house under the moon, in pixel art

Amityville
Haunted House

a game by Erwan Cosnuau

112 Ocean Avenue, Long Island, 1974. You have twenty-eight days in a house that does not want you, and the house is paying attention. Touch anything in the picture: the lamp, the stain on the boards, the crucifix on the wall. The house writes back, in prose that reads like a novel.

The porch of 112 Ocean Avenue at night, the first picture of the game
Touching a thing in the picture names it and offers what you can do with it
The living room: the house answers LOOK CRUCIFIX in a paragraph of prose
Every way on carries a small arrow on the picture
The pocket: the evidence you carry
The basement, lamplit, in dithered pixel art

The story
Thirteen rooms, and the rooms other players have opened. Five acts; a night turns when the story moves, not when a timer runs out. Four endings: three you choose, one the house chooses for you.
The words
Much of what the house says is written the first time somebody does that thing, then kept for everyone after. It answers what you actually did.
Languages
English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese. The game saves itself on every turn.
Audience
PEGI 7, ESRB Teen, 13+ on the App Store. It is meant to unsettle.
A note on the subject
Fiction, inspired by a case that is a matter of public record. It names no real person and re-enacts nothing that happened to them.
Key art: the porch of the house at night, lamplit, a station wagon in the drive; title Amityville, Haunted House, a retro adventure
28 nights. Four endings. One is not yours.
